Course Duration: 1-3 days (experience, competency and class size dependent)

RPL Assessment only: Or approx. 6-8 hours, if a logbook with at least 40 hours detailing experience can be provided and verified

Location: Onsite or offsite, statewide (Grader and suitable practical training area to be provided by the client)

Pre-requisites: Must be 16 years of age and possess good language, literacy and numeracy skills

What to bring: USI Number (https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi). Biscuits, tea, coffee and drinks are provided. There are many takeaway food options nearby or feel free to bring your own lunch

PPE requirements: Safety boots, long pants and Hi Vis short/long sleeve shirt

  • Select, remove, fit and use attachments for grader

  • Prepare to relocate the grader

  • Conduct housekeeping activities

This unit applies to those working in site based roles.

This unit alone does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisted by someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and Unload Plant or equivalent. This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to conduct civil construction grader operations in Civil construction.
