Course Duration: 4-8 hours (experience, competency and class size dependent)

RPL and training: Or approx. 4 hours, if a logbook with at least 16 hours detailing experience can be provided and verified

Location: Onsite or offsite, statewide

​

Pre-requisites: Must be 16 years of age and possess good language, literacy and numeracy skills

​

What to bring: USI Number (https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi). Biscuits, tea, coffee and drinks are provided. There are many takeaway food options nearby or feel free to bring your own lunch

PPE requirements: Hard hat, safety boots, long pants and Hi Vis short/long sleeve shirt

Application of the Unit

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to load and unload plant.

This unit applies to those working in site-based roles.

Prior to performing this activity, skills and knowledge should be developed for the individual plant. This can be achieved through completing the equivalent operator unit or being assisted by someone who has this knowledge. Refer to the Implementation guide for further details.
