Course Duration: 6-8 hours (experience, competency and class size dependent)
Location: Onsite or offsite, statewide
Pre-requisites: Must be 16 years of age and possess good language, literacy and numeracy skills
What to bring: USI Number (https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi). Biscuits, tea, coffee and drinks are provided. There are many takeaway food options nearby or feel free to bring your own lunch
PPE requirements: Hard hat, safety boots, long pants and Hi Vis short/long sleeve shirt
Course Cost: $320.00 per person in the South (GST exempt, 50% funded by Keystone if eligible)
$360.00 per person in the North
Electromagnetic locating equipment to be provided by the client
CPD points acquired: 6 points (please contact CBOS to find out if you are eligible)

Application of the Unit
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to identify, locate and protect underground services in civil construction.
It applies to those working in operational roles and overseeing construction work. They generally work under supervision and hold some responsibility for identifying, locating and protecting underground services.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
